Stuck at a Renault dealership, AMA

The Twingo had some warning lights, so they’re checking it. In the mean time I’m trying out the seats of the Renault range. I must say they’ve finally got their stuff together, as all new models are very nice.

Also, the Initiale models have a very nice black purple which is impossible to photograph, but is very cool. It’s called Noir Amethyste.

So AMA I guess!

It’s probably the Talisman Estate Initiale in Noir Amethyste. Sadly couldn’t take a good picture of it due to shitty lighting, so you have to make do with its light:

No :( They don’t have any ZE cars at this location, they do at their other branch in Eindhoven. We’ve got a few at university, though, which I did hoon a few times.

Yeah, the Clios are everywere, and the new Megane starts to become more and more present on the roads.

The interior of both the Scenic and Espace is very air-y and modern, and the interior of the Talisman is very classy, with the matte (fake) wood that seems to be the new trend.

It is, I would take it home without any hesitation. I would have prefered it to be a manual, but beggars can’t be choosers, haha. The fact that it has almost 3 times the power of the Twingo at 205 hp, might be part of the reason why I wouldn’t hesitate haha.

I quite like the Talisman or the estate but we don’t get it in the U.K.

They aren’t making a RHD or something.

There are a few Renaults we don’t get really such as the Clio estate and the Espace.

Weird that they aren’t doing an RHD version, must be because of the limited market (it’s a pretty expensive car, and I think Renault doesn’t have the best of reputations in the UK)

I think the Espace doesn’t come in RHD for the same reason as the Talisman, the Initiale I sat in today was priced a smidge over € 60k, which is a hell of a lot of money.

Renault is well enough liked and pretty much as reliable as the rest.

I don’t think the Talisman would sell in large enough numbers to warrant RHD in a market with so many options. The Espace market is already quite full along with the Clio estate.

Having grown up in a Renault family, I surely miss seeing them on the streets (currently living in the US).

He had a Renault 4, Traffic, Twingo, another Twingo, then a Megane.

I missed them too when I lived in Canada for a while last year :)

I grew up in a Renault family too. My dad had a R19, Megane, Megane Scenic, and Another Scenic, so I was conditioned to become a Renault owner, haha
